Great writing from 2 perspectives/time frames of the story! Loved it.
This collection was once again a welcomed addition to my library. I usually prefer full novels, I've never been a fan of shorter stories (200 or less pages) but with Lanyon I find myself buying more and more shorter stories because of how much I love her writing. This book is rating pretty darn high on my list, and I am SO glad I shopped around and found both novellas paired together (I saved money too, which conveniently will go towards buying another Lanyon book).
I honestly loved the second part, that bounced between the past/present - filling in gaps of how our MCs first met and more. Very creative, and done very well - I never found myself confused by what I was reading or where the story was going. The mystery was much lighter in the second part, but actually I enjoyed that we almost had two "mysteries" of what caused Sean's accident and what happened to Sean/Dan's relationship. Enjoyed the end, would always love to see these characters again, but I know they found their HEA.
I'm heading over now to check out the I Spy collection - can't wait to dive into that.
